This workshop is designed for Distant Learning students who want to fulfill the practical component requirement for the ECC course certification. It is an 11-day workshop which covers all areas of the Prepared Environment curriculum in the Montessori methodology. Introduction to Montessori philosophy and methods workshop |
This introduction workshop is designed for anyone interested in becoming acquainted with the Montessori approach. It is a one day workshop that provides a clear overview of the philosophy, principles and practices of the Montessori approach. Attendees will have the opportunity to work with some of the curriculum apparatus and engage in discussions. There are no requirements for entry into this workshop. It is ideally suited for staff working in the pre-school sector and/or staff working in ECEC supporting institutes and ministries. Montessori Alumni Refresher Workshop |
The Montessori Alumni refresher workshop is designed for graduates who have successfully completed their Montessori training and they feel the need to re-connect again with the Montessori pedagogy. This is a one day workshop from 9am – 5pm that revisits the apparatus, projects, and current developments in Montessori education and practice. Updated information regarding standards and benchmarks are provided along with reviews of the recent Montessori literature. It is an opportunity to build dialogue around the current Montessori practice in our local pre-schools and promote deeper relations for understanding amongst themselves.

The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, Revised Edition, ECERS- R workshop is a three-day training workshop which trains and qualifies the enrolled candidate on how to use this reliable observational rating scale. The ECERS-R is a widely used to effectively assess the quality of preschools around the world. Every candidate will be trained and supervised, step by step, throughout the training process. They will be shown the necessary skills and procedures for effectively observing children, staff and the quality of the preschool. Reach Out and Read Training Workshop |
Reach Out and Read Training (ROR) workshop is a one day (morning only) workshop which demonstrates and explains the skills and techniques used in learning how to effectively read to young children in hospital care.This workshop is designed for the volunteers enlisted in the ROR, Bahrain programme. The training demonstrates important listening, reading and communication skills used in reading with children under hospital supervision. Community Outreach Programme (COP-FSP) Workshop |
The Community Outreach Programme, COP-FSP is a pre-training workshop for candidates wanting to deliver the Father Support Programme, FSP in local schools, centres and/or community venues. This training provides the information and skills based on the contents of the Father Support Programme. The FSP is a 13-week intervention support programme which empowers fathers to support their children and families. Leaders for providing the FSP are trained at this two day workshop. The initial training is for two days at BMC.
